WHAT MAGNETIC THERAPY IS AND HOW IT WORKS
These medical devices for magneto therapy generate high frequency electromagnetic fields (EMC) in which the magnetic component is almost equivalent to the electrical one. These electromagnetic fields are athermal, given that the reduced power and discontinuity of the signal (pulsed electromagnetic fields) allows the heat produced to be dispersed in the tissues. It is based on the principle that the elements that make up the human body are electromagnetic dipoles that can be influenced by the presence of an external magnetic field. The energetic state of these dipoles alters in case of illness, therefore, by applying an electromagnetic field from the outside the balance of the body can be restored. Today we know that cell membranes are practically small “batteries” to which the voltage supplied has also been measured: more precisely, in healthy nerve cells, between the inside and the outside, there is a potential difference of 90 mV; in other cells, this voltage is about 70 mV. When these cells become ill, due to an infection, a trauma or any other cause, such as the age of the subject, the latter lose their energy reserve. Therefore, a cell in a healthy state should have a voltage of at least 70mV. When the cell is diseased it has a voltage of only 55/50mV, beyond this threshold, if this voltage drops further and becomes 30 mV, necrosis occurs, i.e. the death of the cell. When these small “batteries” present in our body are discharged, the following consequences occur in the body, pain in the back, bones, in the joints, inflammatory processes, etc… To facilitate the return to normality of all these cells they need to be recharged. The objective of electromagnetic therapy is to recharge and regenerate cells lacking vital energy, modifying the potential difference present at the ends of the cell membrane and the orientation of the atoms present in it, which are magnetic dipoles.
